Four Years of Tripadvisor Recognition and Five-Star Food Hygiene reports Since We Opened

Travellers’ Choice recognises restaurants that consistently receive excellent reviews from their guests, placing winners among the top 10% of restaurants listed on Tripadvisor worldwide.

For an independent restaurant here in Arundel, we’re enormously proud of that achievement — particularly because it is based on the experiences and reviews of the people who actually come and eat with us.

But that’s not our only good news.

We’ve also once again been awarded a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating, the highest rating available. We have maintained a 5-star rating consistently since The Steakist opened.

Consistency matters

Restaurants aren’t judged on one great steak or one particularly good Sunday lunch.

For us, what really matters is doing it consistently.

That means carefully sourcing our ingredients, preparing food properly, maintaining excellent standards behind the scenes and giving our guests a warm welcome every time they visit.

Our beef is sourced from Scotland and matured for a minimum of 28 days before being butchered locally to our chefs’ specification. Alongside our steaks, our seasonal menu includes chicken, fish and vegetarian dishes, while Sundays bring traditional roasts, our BIG Sunday Sharer and Steakist Wellington for two.

We even travel to southwest France to visit Vignobles Dubard, whose wines we import directly for our restaurant.
